What does an electrologist do?
Electrologist is an aesthetist who removes facial and body hair from male and female customers with an electric current tool. It can work on the staff of the dermatologist's office or in a salon offering similar services. A significant number of electrologists are also self -employed. The needle then passes into the papilla, the organ under the root of the hair. Another electrode is placed in the hand of the customer to complete the electrical connection. In some cases, instead of using the second electrode, the electrologist places the customer's hand in a cup of water to create an electrical connection.
When an electrologist activates an electric machine with a short wool, it regulates the electric flow to destroy the papilla. After the process is completed, the needle is removed and the electrologist continues to treat other follicles until the area intended for treatment has removed all hair. Each hair must be manually removed from each tweezer follicle.
The electrolysis process often requires repetition. Some follicles may be difficult to penetratenout if they were previously treated by the methods of temporary hair removal. Other areas can experience hair growth for a long period of time.
Electrologists used this procedure mainly for women who wanted to permanently eliminate hair on their cheeks. Their clientele has grown to include men who wished for permanent thinning of beard and eyebrows. Both males and women often ask electrologists to change hair lines and shape eyebrows. Removing hair from moths is often required and usually requires electrologist to obtain authorization from a doctor to do so.
In the last few years, many clients, men and women, electrolysis have a wide range of parts of the body. Applications for removal of hair with the upper body of the men have increased significantly in the last decade. These applications are often submitted models for the purposes of photographs or athletes such as swimmers for whom excess hair on the body often prevents their RYthe trollers.
Electrologist is usually required to have a gentle way to treat clients. It is also required to follow strict instructions on hygiene and antiseptic. Its equipment is normally sterilized and clients' skin usually requires alcohol disinfection before treatment.
For electrologists training, a diploma or equivalent in high school is usually required. Training usually lasts about four weeks and is often offered at cosmetology schools or technical universities. Some regions require electrologists to be licensed and others have age and education requirements.
