What is the Comodity Center Center?

Commodity exchange center was a nine -storey building located at the bottom of Manhattan, New York. Suddenly, a total of five different futures exchanges were located as a CEC. For many years, the commodity exchange center has been home to New York Futures Exchange, Coffee Sugar and Cocoa Exchange, New York Cotton Exchange, New York Mercantile Exchange and Commodity Exchange, Inc.

As a physical base of operations for some of the strongest exchanges in the United States, the commodity exchange center is located in four world shopping centers in New York. Along with housing, five prominent futures stock exchanges provided a high -level space building like the New York Board of Trade and Deutsche Bank. Built in 1977, the commodity exchange center offered tenants just under 600,000 square feet. The exchange center for commoditying was considered to be a key element in Manhattan culture for just less than a quarter of a century.

Location of a series of exchanges under one roofsOU had many benefits for brokers and investors. The ability to work with so many exchanges in relatively close proximity was especially useful in situations where telephone conversations would be nice. Unfortunately, the commodity exchange center did not work long enough to reach its 25th anniversary. Among the buildings, which were damaged as a result of terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, the Center for Commodity Replaced was maintained by such a high level of destruction that the repair of the building was excluded. As a result, the exchange and other tenants in the building found new offices in Manhattan and the New York City. Once the building was unoccupied, demolition work began to clean the space.
