What are chalazia?

chalazia are cysts that are formed in the eyelids. They are formed as a result of small tear glands in the lids blocked by oil secretions that solidify. Chalazia is uncomfortable, but they tend to ripen after about a month without treatment. Rarely, Chalazia may indicate skin cancer. To exclude this option, it is recommended to exclude cottage or a single chalazion. When people are affected by cottage, they may notice a significant swelling of the lid. Usually only one chalazion is formed. The eye can tear quite easily and the affected people may notice increased sensitivity to light, called photosensitivity. Touching the lid usually leads to pain because it is extremely tender and sensitive. One can also feel a hard blow because of the form cysts.

Chalazia is often wrong for other types of eye infections such as Pinkeye. In general, the examiner will lead to a suitable diagnosis of cottage. No special testing is required. The doctor must only examine the lid to determine the presence of cottage.

The treatment of cottage is also quite simple. Patients are asked to place warm compression on their eyes for about 15 minutes, three or more times a day. Compression can help clean the blocking. Unlike conditions such as Pinkeye, cottage does not have to be treated with antibiotic ointment because they are not infectious. Chalazion is also unlikely to spread to the other eye.

Chalasia complications may occur if the cyst does not solve within one month, or when people repeatedly get Chalazion in the same place. Chalazion, which is constantly repeated, can be skin cancer and should be biopic to eliminate cancer. Chalazia, which does not disappear, may require surgical removal if it does this to the treatment.

Sometimes chalazia can form large cysts that temporarily affect eyesight, causing astigmatism. Astigmatism is solved when the Chalazion is cleaned but may imagineEmpty problems to those who are not otherwise impaired. Doctors can recommend until the sight returns to normal.

Chalazia tends to respond well to treatment and do not repeat. Although initial pain can be quite unpleasant, the pain will start to solve the pain for several days. However, one should not stop treatment without advice from the doctor.
