What is UMPC?

UMPC means ultra-mobile personal computer . It is one of the most innovative machines invented so far. No wonder every UMPC carries a Microsoft label.

UMPC is primarily a computer. It operates a full version of Windows XP operating system software. It usually comes with full versions of Microsoft's favorite software applications such as Office, which include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Rather, it is a computer with hand. It is so small and light that you can hold it in your hands, just as if you were holding a book. It also consists of a touch screen, so it is very easy to perform simple and complex tasks.

Internet access is of course easy. Start Internet Explorer or other web browsers, have access to Wi-Fi hotspots, or even use a Bluetooth® mobile phone for network surfing. In terms of technical specifications, UMPC has a 7 -inch (about 18 cm) LCD screen with an aminimal resolution of 800x480. The access is via the touch screen that contains the keyboard on the screen.
