What is a bit of time?

Bit Time is a computer network that measures how long one pulse or bit takes to travel from the transmitter to the receiver to create a specific network speed. Sometimes it is confused with other terms such as bit speed or bit rate, which is the total number of bits transmitted per second (BPS), and the time of the slots, which is the time it takes for a pulse to go through the longest length of the network medium.
