What is integrated T1?
The
line T1 is standard for voice and data communication in several parts of the world. The integrated T1 is a specific method of dividing the standard line T1, which allows multiple applications of reserved transmission over one line. It is similar to a fractional T1 where different users use one line T1, but the target in these two situations is different. The integrated T1 is common in large businesses because it allows the transfer of different data fibers on one line without interference. The standard line T1 transmits information to 24 interconnected channels. These channels can transmit information of any kind, but the two most common are voice and data transmissions.
Integrated T1 works a little differently. In this case, 24 channels remain separated. Each channel is set to a dedication or application. For example, one channel can work for a telephone system while the other works with a computer network. For any reason, the channels in the integrated T1 do not transmit information back and forth. Each channel is closedd.
This system is very similar to a system called a fractional T1. In this case, one line T1 is divided from two to 24 times. Each of these subdivizes is then rented as a separate connection. Individual areas remain separate from each other. This is common in buildings with multiple offices that need to share a single network system.
The biggest difference between these systems is in their use. With integrated T1 each channel works specifically for a different purpose. For fractional T1 subdivision does not specify how the channels will be used. They can function as a standard T1 or in any other configuration. It is possible to rent a number of channels from the fractional system and then use these channels in an integrated way, but this is an unusual configuration.
Integrated T1 is a great way to reduce the number of physical transmission methods while maintaining separate systems. In many circumstances the phone, the internet, ka hasBel and other common data systems of their own separate methods of entering the building. With integrated T1, all these systems can come through one cable. This requires less maintenance and creates fewer places where problems may occur.
