What are welding glasses?

Glasses are protective safety glasses designed to protect their eyes from particles and radiation and provide clear visibility in welding. It must be made of durable impact resistant material, such as broken glass, and must filter harmful ultraviolet and infrared radiation from the welding torch that can cause blindness. Welding glasses are usually produced with packaging construction that provide maximum protection against sparks and may also include bi-focal or enlarged lens and fog coating to improve visibility. Most welding glasses sold in the United States comply with the standards set by the US National Standard Institute (ANSI).

To increase comfort and wearability, welding glasses are usually produced with a flexible frame and elastic belt. These functions allow them to adapt to any head size and fit firmly even if the user wears glasses. The design includes ventilation holes to prevent fogging, and DIH lenses are scratched and impact resistant, often replaceable. The filters vary depending on how the type of welding is performed, and the welding glasses used for one type of welding are not necessarily suitable for others.

The

welding mask includes a set of glasses in its design and provides all-round protection against risks of welding and cutting oxy-power. On the other hand, the helmet welding helmet usually has a window covered with a filter and there are also glasses welding with this design. The window can be made of tinted glass or plastic in older samples, but more modern are light sensitive and automatically darken if necessary. This feature encourages the welder to keep them in place and avoid the burns by forgetting to set the mask or glasses before the torch lighting.

welding and cutting procedures can benefit from various welding -layer welding layouts. More similarSafety glasses than welding glasses have the design of tones of tones that may include magnification. They were easily removed to allow welders to engage in different tasks, but do not provide mask or glasses protection. The flame from the welding torch is dangerous, not only for the high temperature it produces, but also for a wide range of dangerous radiation emitting. Without protection of suitable glasses, such as welding glasses or welding mask, welders can maintain temporary or permanent corneal damage to their eyes.
