What is a good kill?

Well Kill is a strategy that is sometimes used to close an active well, which makes it easier to detention of the product flow from the well and successfully reduce the well. Although there are several strategies to achieve this goal, many will include the use of what is known as mud or liquid killers to effectively block the increase in other substances from the well, relieve pressure and allow to move forward with successful boreholes. While the killing can be a deliberate attempt to close the well that is damaged or no longer needed, this term may also apply to a random event that has not been planned in advance.

When killing a well is intentional, this process will include the use of a type of substance that is heavier than a substance that has been harvested using an active well. For example, the use of a killing mud can be ideal for the oil well content. Because mud is harder, it can be injected into the well itself, helps slow and finally create a block that preventsThe leakage of underground oil through the drilling of the well and rises to the surface. Once the oil flow is contained, the well can be sealed or limited, effectively preventing oil to use the well channel to achieve the surface.

It uses several different strategies to manage well killing. The use of mud to block the channel is one of the most common and is sometimes referred to as the access circulation. Another strategy is known as BullHeading. With this approach, some type of killing fluid is actively pumped into the well drilling at the speed of pressure that forces oil or other substance backwards. This approach will be more likely to be used when it is necessary to close quickly, but contains some risks, as a sudden pressure shift could cause a well drilling along the shaft.

When Well Kill is a planned strategy that can be gradually performed for a period of time, an approach known as "lubrication and bleeding" is often used. This approach includes the introduction of the measured amount of the killing fluid into the well drilling for a certain period of time, usually a drill pipe that is introduced into the well and allows the mud to settle near the bottom of the opening. This makes it possible to alleviate any excess pressure in the hole itself, which in turn helps minimize the possibility of rupture. Since another amount of killed fluid is settled in the hole, the pressure still drops until the well is safely limited.
