What is an acupuncture point?

Acupuncture point is a place on the body that can be manipulated through acupuncture, acupressure, sonopuncture or laser acupuncture. The body has hundreds of acupuncture points, each corresponding to a certain tissue, organ or other parts of the body. The concept of acupuncture point has existed in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) since antiquity and is often criticized by modern medicine and scientific thinking, although it still has many adherents. Some modern scientific studies suggest that acupuncture has specific and predictable results in the brain in accordance with TCM claims. Acupressure, sonopuncture and laser acupuncture are newer techniques that eliminate the risks of traditional acupuncture as an invasive procedure. Acupressure uses pressure, sonopunctura uses sound waves and laser acupuncture uses to stimulate light wavy point.

The acupuncture point does not necessarily have to be placed on the structure or near it, which it should affect. The aim of acupuncture and related treatments is to balance elementsyin, yang and qi in the body. Yin and Yang necessarily level and oppose each other because the first is dark, feminine, receiving and raising, while the second is light, male, dominant and creative. Qi is a life -giving energy.

Most acupuncture points are distributed along the meridians, the main ways through which they say blood, qi, yin and yang are flowing. However, many of them are not; For example, there are many acupuncture points on the outer ear, which is often manipulated in acupressure. Some acupuncture points are used much more often than others, because they correspond to the body with which people tend to have more health problems.

Doctors

TCM are not the only people using acupuncture points. They are also sometimes used in martial arts as part of the attack. Just as the manipulations of acupuncture points are considered to be therapeutic improving the flow of Qi, some of the theorize thatIt can also be used to interrupt the energy flow to cause outages or injury.

According to some martial arts techniques, the hit of a certain acupuncture point can cause intense pain, broken bones or involuntary muscle contraction. Similar techniques are said to cause outages of preventing blood flow or brain tremor. Whether using acupuncture points to heal or damage, great knowledge and skills are required. Manipulation with incorrect acupuncture point or right point in the wrong way could have terrible consequences.
