What is cholestyramine?
Cholestyramine is a prescription medicine that is primarily administered to reduce blood cholesterol. It is supplied as a powder that is dissolved in the liquid and is used orally. The bile acids that are necessary for digestion are made of cholesterol, which is produced by the liver.
