What is the pogo stick?
Pogo stick, which is a bouncy toy, was, according to some 1919, developed by George Hansburg in 1919. Vyadmann and Goppel first made a design that was originally made of wood. The first two letters of the name of each manufacturer form the name of Pogo.
Gads and Goppel exported the pogo wand to countries such as the United Kingdom and the US, where they were first carried by the famous department store, Gimble's. The first exports were defective because the wood was distorted or rot on the way to the US. Hansburg redesigned the Pogo stick in metal to avoid problems arising from the use of wood. Most people are more familiar with the styles of the metal pogo that are made today.
The first pogo sticks used children as well as men and women. Big Ziegfeld taught his dancers how to use them on stage. In fact, the 1920s were the highlight of the fascination of Pogo Stick, although the toy has since entered and based on the peaks, with the peaks of interest throughout the 20th and at the beginning of the 21st century. The newly designed Pogo sticks have improved theirReflection and can create huge jumps with each reflection several feet in the air.
Traditional metal pogo stick looks like a long vertical bar with a T-bar handle that the user holds. Further down the bar towards the ground has the stick of both legs on both sides of the wand. Under the foot is that the Pogo rod continues, but adds a curled spring around the bottom of the straight bar. This allows the user to move the foot rest by jumping. The lower part of the stick also has a limited rubber or plastic end, so jumping will lead to easier landing.
If you want to use pogo, you have to achieve balance and timing. When both legs pushed the legs and fully curled springs fully down, the spring can relax the user slightly. While most beginners can achieve one jump, it takes a few times afterwards. With newer Pogo Styles styles, it can be even more challenging that allows you to useAteli bounce several feet instead of a few inches in the air with every release of the springs. If you can get it, it can be very fun and also fun to see how someone else is trying to learn how to do it!
Pogo stick soon inspired people to make Guinness world records of either distant or consecutive jumps. In 1997 she created Ashrita Furman and still holds a record for the longest distance on the pogo stick. In 12 hours and 21 minutes Furman jumped 23.10 miles (37.18 km). In 1980, Gary Stewart set the current world record for most of the consecutive jumps on the Pogo stick. In 20 hours and 20 minutes Stewart jumped 177 737 times.
For safety purposes, even if you don't think of breaking Pogo Stick, you should wear a helmet. It may hurt to fall back or forward from the Pogo stick. Security is particularly important when you use newer models with a high jump such as Flybar®.
