What is monopoly®?

Monopoly® is a board game produced by Parker Brothers, a game company currently owned by Hasbro. In the game, players use dice to move on the board and land on property that can buy and develop. If it is already owned, players must pay the rent to the owner and developers of the property. The game also includes squares "Chance" and "Community Chest" connected with cards that can affect the wealth of players, force them to move to different spaces on the board, requires to pay taxes or other fees or give them money.

Monopoly® history is quite fascinating. The earliest version of the game was developed by Elizabeth magic and was supposed to be an educational illustration of ways that landlords abuse tenants with rent. Its version of the game would be known to modern players Monopoly®, although of course there are some significant differences. Magie's game quickly spread to pick up many people and slowly spread around the United States until it landed in the householdEven a man named Charles Darrow.

Darrow clearly knew the potentially profitable thing when he saw it and developed the famous version of the "Atlantic City" Monopoly®, each square associated with a place in Atlantic City. In 1935 he patented the game and tried to sell it Parker Brothers. Initially, the company rejected Monopoly® as hard to play and too long, later changed its mind, which proved to be a good decision, as an estimated 750 million people played between 1935 and 2007.

Charles Darrow is often attributed to the inventor of Monopoly®, although it is technically incorrect, and it was a source of friction and dispute in the past. Some people claim that the game was obviously a folk game before Darrow Got on that hands and argue that Parker Brothers basically stole the rights to play from his earlier developers and, as a result, profit from extremely. Others believe that Darrow's improvement and accessories for the game were whatIt has done so popular and is entitled to credit for monopoly®.

6 Players are fighting for economic domination over the monopoly® council in some areas of the world every night and competition can be wild. Game masters can even play in professional tournaments.
