What is articular eminence?
The body is composed of many different bones that connect and create a cohesive unit capable of moving in the deliberate unison. The joint, also referred to as articulation, is the connecting point between the bones that allows this movement and at the same time provides the necessary support to hold part of the body together. The joint eminence is the bone area where this connection is performed. The bony projection or outcrop at the end of some bones is referred to as joint eminence. This area allows the bones to join through a number of supporting structures such as muscles, tendons and ligaments. These bands, consisting of a hard but flexible groups of cells called connective tissue, usually attach to the articular eminence of bones to create a link to the nearby bone. Some of these bonds allow the bones to move in harmony to allow specific parts of the body to change the position as seen in the knee. This type of joint, referred to as the continuous joint, allows the lower leg to be attached to the thigh and givesyour lower leg ability to move.
Other links that can attach to joint eminence ensure different bones together and forbid movement. These intersections, called syarrotic joints, are the most common in the head in the form of stitches. Shifts are seams similar to lines that fix different head bones together to provide a robust brain cover.
Another example of the immovable joint is the connection between the tibia and the fibula, the bones of the lower. This connection is also called the tibiophibular joint and is possible by means of bonds that attach the joint eminence of each bone and hold them side by side. This binding offers lower leg and legs more stability and at the same time provides other articulated surfaces for tendons and muscles for accurate and liquid movement of the foot as a whole.
Without unique properties such as joint eminence, bones would not have the ability to remain in place in relation to other bones and create the foundation for the skeleton. The muscles would not be able to attach to two separate bones simultaneously. Without joint eminence, the body would lack the definition and the ability to move smoothly and in conjunction with other areas of the body.
