What is the rear tibial artery?
found in the back of the lower limb, the rear tibial artery begins behind the knee and descends through the foot towards the back of the foot. It is a branch of a popliteal artery and divided into medium and lateral plantar arteries in the leg and also forms a branch just below the knee called fibers or peroneal artery. Towers carrying blood rich in the heart from the heart, so the direction of blood flow in the back tibial artery is down. The rear tibial vein, which lies inside the artery and transports the blood back to the leg, participates in this container.
As a branch of the popliteal arteries, the rear tibial artery receives from this larger blood vessel, as well as its second branch, an anterior tibial artery that supplies the front of the bottom. Poppliteal artery is divided into these two blood vessels at the height of the worship edge of Popliteus, a muscle that intersects the back of the knee. Short distance below this point near THV top of the calf, the rear artery releases its own branch, a peronal artery that angles towards the outside of the hind leg behind the fibula bone.
From there, the rear tibial artery descends through the limb behind the bone of the tibia and gradually curves towards the inner side of the ankle. It passes through the joint behind the media Mallus of the tibia bone, the broken part of the bottom of the bone visible along the inside of the ankle. The vessel lies between Malleolus and Achilles tendon. In fact, a pulse from the artery is felt here. Together with the tendons of the back of Tibialis, Flexor Digitorum Longus and Flexor Hallucis Longus muscles, as well as the rear tibial vein and tibial nerve, the artery is hit by the ankle flexor retinaculum, the horizontal ligament zone.
After browsing behind the ankle, the rear tibial artery is divided into tbenas by smaller arteries of plantar surface or underside of the foot: medium and side plantar arteries. This occurs under the bone of Calcaneus or heel, with the medial plantar artery pointing to the large tip and lateral plantar articles supplying four smaller fingers. As well as the rear tibiThe artery brings thick oxygen and scissor to the muscles and tissues
