What is the evening star?
The term "evening star" is used to describe a planet that is visible directly around dusk, usually when the sky is too light to see real stars. This phenomenon can also occur in the morning, in which case the planet is known as a "morning star". Many planets can appear as morning and evening stars, depending on where they are in their orbit and where Earth is in relation to the planet and the sun. People have found that the appearance of such planets has been convincing for centuries, because enough Kvědid's poems about the appearance of an evening star would suggest.
Most often Venus appears as an evening star. Venus is the brightest object in the night sky after a month and is also one of the larger objects in the sky, which makes it easier to see. This planet always seems close to the sun because its orbit is located between the ground and the sun. Venus appears to be a bright brand in the sky near the setting sun at dusk or near the Sun at dawn like The Morning Star.
In addition to Venus, Mercury, Mars and Jupiter, they can also appear as evening or morning stars. Sometimes there are two planets near the horizon, in the case that astronomers usually celebrate. Lay people who are interested in astronomy often try to make time to see an evening star when it is particularly large, or when they appear in conjunction with another planet.
"Star" is of course incorrect, because the planet is not a star, but the evening star looks a lot like a star from the point of view of Earth. The light of the evening star is created by the sun that reflects from the planet's surface and is visible to people on Earth, similar to the light of the moon. During the day our neighboring planets and stars are not visible, even if they are present in the sky, because sunlight is too bright. When Venus or other planets appear near the western horizon, it suggests that the meeting is approaching because the level of light has dropped enough toThe planet became visible. Similarly, the appearance of the morning star at dawn, when the other stars disappear, indicate that the day is approaching rapidly.
Historically, people often associated various events or emotions with the appearance of an evening star and many cultures connected the night sky and objects in mysticism.
