How do I convert WAV to AAC?
Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) is a loss format used for compressed audio files to replace the MP3 format. AAC is standard in MPEG-4 (MP4), and some AAC encoders as such give the name of the file extension or M4A versus AAC. It is assumed that AAC format results in better audio files compared to MP3 files with the same bit value and is the format used by Apple® Inc., Nokia® and other portable electronics manufacturers. For all these reasons, people often want to convert uncompressed audio files such as WAV to AAC (MP4/M4A) rather than MP3.
For PC and Mac®, which have installed iTunes® installed, the AAC built -in encoder can be used to generate AAC files, even if the M4A extension is assigned. Go to the preferences menu inside iTunes®, and then click the Import Settings button. In addition to "Import using", select AAC Encoder from the drop -down menu, and then click OK. Now add the WAV file to KNIhovna, or add the WAV file folder. Right -click the track and select Create AAC from the pop -up menu. AAC files are created in a standard music folder under ITUNES® subfolders with M4A extension.
For PC users who do not have iTunes® installed, there is a practical small sound encoder called Bonnkenc © Audio Encoder by Robert Kausch. This program is free of charge and includes several encoders to convert many types of audio files. Convert WAV to AAC Open Bonnkenc © and go to Options, General Settings, then select the "Encoder FAAC MP4/AAC" encoder from the drop -down list. Then click Configure Encoder and Format tab. Here you can choose AAC or MP4 file format, allowing you to generate files with actual AAC extensions. You can also check the box to insert ID3 brands. Add your WAV files and click the arrow icon youGenerate AAC files.
For those who have already installed Audacity © installed on their computers, it can also convert WAV to AAC, although like iTunes®, it assigns the M4A extension. Audacity © is an open-source, free, intermediate audio editor and conversion tool. To create an AAC file, open the WAV file inside Audacity ©, and then select the file, export, and below to save the file type, select "M4A (AAC) (FFMPEG)" files from the drop-down menu. Click Options to set the quality as needed. Click Save and the pop -up window allows you to edit ID3 brands before generating AAC/M4A file.
Note that Audacity © uses plugins to make your conversions. If plugins are not installed, you will receive an error. If you want to get plugins, open Audacity © and go to edits, preferences, and then highlight the libraries in the navigation tree on the left. On the right will be a button to download the MP3 (Lame) and the AAC to download button (libraryon FFMPEG). Click on the download buttons of the WVEZMU on the instructions for all platforms and direct links for plugins. After performing this program, this program provides a quick and easy WAV convert to AAC files (with M4A extensions).
There are also many other conversion tools that can transfer your WAV files to AAC in freeware and shareware taste. Some MP3 players may not recognize AAC files, although compatibility is common for newer players.
