What is Hello Def?

The

High Definition or Hi def is becoming increasingly popular in the cable, satellite and broadcasting industry due to public demand for Hi def content. Hi Def brings together a greater brightness of digital image, a higher standard of spatial sound and wider screen to add a new dimension to the viewing experience. The question is no longer whether the public will accept this new experience, but rather when it will be available as a standard for browsing households. At about the same time, KCTS, a local television company with the same format, experimented in the United States. In 1988, CBS created a television film in Hi Vision format.

The technology problems in its early stages were that cameras and equipment for the programs to be cumbersome and heavy. They required a lot of energy and a lot of cable. The digital technology used was also not as sophisticated as it is now. However, these first pioneers were introduced foundations and it would not be long before technological progress brings fOrmate to the current standard.

In 1997, Sony introduced the first portable camcorder and camcorder. Film and broadcasting companies began to invest in new equipment. The next step was the introduction of 24p, a signal that is similar to a movie that uses twenty -four frames per second. 24p also uses the concept of universal mastering, the ability to publish different video signals that are compatible with all foreign and domestic video standards using the same 24P source.

The film world sat down and noticed. Many films were made using 24p cameras. Director George Lucas is a big fan of Hi Def and Star Wars: Episode II was one of the first films that were made with Hi Def Cameras. Now that the 24P cameras are widely available, they are used in various productions. Costs are still a problem for some transmitters, but with increasing sale of TV ensemblesOn Hi television, costs become less forbidden.

Many of the large American transmitters now use this format. NBC, FOX and ABC broadcast a large percentage of their Hi Def programs and the entire CBS Primetime assembly is also transmitted using Hi Def. From the first days of Hi-Vision to the broadcast we have today, it has been a long way, but with the advent of digital television, a format looks like a standard in a not too far future.
