What is the MOV?

MOV is a type of sound and video file that has been developed by Apple Inc. And it is primarily used on the media media player QuickTime. It works as a multimedia container for digital videos and its ability to multitracking allows editors to form a set of different ways. The IOC enjoyed one of the longest lives of any type of file during a digital age.

first appeared in 1991, when Apple introduced QuickTime 1.0, the MOV file type was one of the first multimedia files available to the public. During his lifetime, this media format has seen seven versions of the QuickTime program, but remained the primary format for viewing videos through a player. The simplicity of the file type is the main reason for its longevity.

The average MOV file contains one or more data songs. The compositions are organized in the hierarchy of information called atoms. Video

Video is more often than not the primary song of any file and provides a visual element of QuickTime as animation or real video recordings. The audio track is also common in the QuickTime file and provides all the sound for video, from dialog to music and sound effects. A less common but still important element of atoms is the effects that allow video techniques such as disappearing and transitions on the screen. Text tracks are also found to be built into the MOV set and are most commonly found as film subtitles.

Because the primary elements of the QuickTime file are so clearly separated, the MOV files are popular for editing.
