What is the difference between diodes, anodes and cathodes?

The polo diode is an essential part of a large number of electrical systems. These components have two terminals - those that take electricity and one that releases it. When the device uses power supply, the cathode is positive and is negative when it generates power.

The material in the middle of the diode is a semiconductor. Semiconductors are materials that do not work electricity as a standard conductor, but do not prevent it as an insulator.
