What are the different types of endangered sharks?

Of more than 450 kinds of sharks in the world, about 200 is considered to be an International Union for Nature Conservation (IUCN). More than 100 types of sharks are commercially used by humans, which further contributes to their threat. In fact, some of the patients of shark species have decreased by more than 90%in recent years, largely partially for human activity.

The most endangered sharks, from the least endangered are:

  • Borneo Shark, Carcharhinus borneensis
  • The Whitefin Topeshark, Hemitriakis Leucoperiptera
  • Shark Dumb Gulper, Centrophorus Harrissoni
  • Shark Daggernos, isogomfodon oxyrhynchus
  • Striped Dogfish, Mustelus fasciatus
  • The Angel Shark, squatina squatina
  • Shark New Guinea River, glyphis sp. November. C
  • Shark Bizant River, glyphis sp. November. And
  • Shark Pondicherry, carcharhinus hemiodon
  • Shark Gagnes, glyphis gangeticus

One of the primary threats of endangered sharks is excessive fishing. Many of the most endangered sharks are too hunted, including Whitefin Topeshark, The Daggernose Shark and The Bizant River Shark. Sharks are commercially asked for their fin and cartilage. In parts of Asia, shark fins soup are considered a delicacy, while many believe that shark cartilage has health benefits, including the fight against cancer, arthritis healing and increasing immunity. These statements are currently not supported by strong scientific evidence, but so many sharks can die in vain.

Another factor that threatens many endangered sharks, including Whitefin Topeshark and Bizant River, is the destruction of habitats. Mangrovy are underwater coastal areas that many kinds of sharks usually use as breeding. They are areas of vegetation of the Adulne coast and can be considered underwater forests. In many parts of the worldIt destroys mangroves to create space for aquaculture or for agriculture of aquatic species. As a result, many sharks do not have too much breed and the fact that they have a low reproductive rate to start only by getting worse.

Sharks are killed at a much higher speed than they can reproduce. In general, sharks last for many years to achieve sexual maturity, and usually give birth to several offspring at a time. If they continue to be killed at the current rate, some species are expected to disappear in the next decade. For example, the stupid shark population has decreased by 99% over the past decades and is possible than less than 250 individuals in new sharks in New Guinea and Bizant. Since 2010, Nature and Shark advocates have said that critical and immediate steps should be taken on behalf of the endangered sharks to ensure their survival.
