What is wellness management?

Wellness management is a term applied to corporate programs that help employees balance the needs of their work, life and their own mental and physical health of employees. The department of human resources often implements the wellness program for the motivation of employees and maintaining is happy and healthy. The program may include services such as membership in the gym, access to mental health advisors and rehabilitation programs of drugs or alcohol. Alternatively, it could be a program based on rewards in which the employee is involved in a number of exercises and is provided by incentives based on their performance and participation.

Wellness has become a major problem for companies at the end of the 80s. They realized that employees' health had affected productivity. What began as a small, radical movement has grown much more mainstream. Many large companies provide wellness management programs to all its employees. Sometimes an employee is obligedn to fill in the assessment of health risk -e -mail to allow the human resources manager to compare resources that would benefit from this employee. Wellness management is a growing field, with many universities and universities offering two and four -year titles in the business wellness management. Those with titles often have a higher salary rate than those who do not.

Although not all employers require the employee to hold the title before supervising these programs, it is often necessary to have a health title, such as health education or physiology to get work in this area. Some companies require their wellness administrators to be certified through one of the three main accreditation organizations. American employers prefer Acertified Health Education Specialist (ChIS) Certification from the National Commission for Mandate of Health Education; Prost Certificationradiator American College of Sports Medicine; or certification in strength and conditioning through the national association of strength and fitness. International certification varies depending on location and specific work.

The

study conducted by wellness corporation of America claims that the introduction of wellness management programs leads to a healthier environment for employees that are often more supportive and friendly. The feelings of friendship and empathy were reported in businesses that use wellness management. According to the same organization, employees often affect mood and those who work for companies where there are other benefits are often happier workers, leading to better customer service.
